Rough Hollow Lakeway, an 1,800 acre master-plan community that feels like a neighborhood located 25 minutes from downtown Austin, joined Lupine Lane, a preschool and creative enrichment center, in celebrating the preschool graduation and groundbreaking for the school’s new Rough Hollow location on Friday, May 31.
This new location was made possible by Haythem Dawlett, a developer for Rough Hollow with an established philanthropic background in the Lake Travis area. Dawlett’s vision, combined with Lupine Lane’s owner Lauren Boyle’s dream to help children explore the creative world, resulted in a new school location in the heart of Rough Hollow. The new building will more than triple Lupine Lane’s current size and expand the school’s scope.
“After nearly 5 years in the making, Lupine Lane broke ground on a 7,200 square foot school and creative enrichment center in Rough Hollow,” said Lauren Boyle, owner of Lupine Lane. “The events and celebration were an absolute dream come true, and we are elated and cannot wait to fill the beautiful new building with learning, creativity and lots of fun!”
Over 200 community members joined Rough Hollow and Lupine Lane to celebrate the graduation of the first preschool class and break ground on the school’s new location. The graduation was part ceremony, part fun with activities and refreshments at Rough Hollow’s recently-opened Highland Village pavilion, along with playtime in the splash pads at this new water-themed amenity.
The Lupine Lane groundbreaking at the new Rough Hollow site included both adults and children relocating fruit trees planted and nurtured at the Lupine Lane Cottage during the 2012-2013 school year.
